OrganicEra, Bamboo Towels

Bamboo plant is grown in far east and the leaves of it are cut into slices to make fibers. The bamboo fiber that we use in Organicera towels are a blend of bamboo and cotton yarns to create the softest towels for you.

Bamboo fiber is NOT ORGANIC, but as no chemicals are used in the plantation of bamboo, it is an eco-friendly fiber. Its natural ability to make the best of nutrients and resources makes the bamboo plant highly resilient, rendering pesticides and fertilizers superfluous in farming the plant.

The most significant characteristic of the bamboo fiber is that due to its porous texture the fiber can breath and lock the moisture in its fibers more quickly then water. The bamboo fibers have 3-4 times higher rate of absorbency compared to cotton fibers, making bamboo textiles highly absorbent and also quick-drying.

Bamboo Kun” – a naturally occurring agent in the bamboo plant renders bamboo textiles anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. The beneficial effects of this natural chemical makes bamboo stay fresh longer, and requiring lower temperatures for the laundry to be effective.
